Skiing and snowboarding are incredible fun but do have inherent risks as they involve slidding down a mountainside. Similarly, no ski or snowboard lesson is completely without risk, but choosing the right ski school can help you significantly minimize the risks involved.
Our entire management team are long term professionals within the ski industry. We have two former national team coaches that had to mitigate the extreme risks involved in elite level ski and snowboard racing. We also boast instructors that have the highest possible levels of instructor certification and train and examine others to be instructors. All of these individuals have long careers of promoting safety and creating safe learning environments. This team heads the ongoing training that we deliver to all our ski and snowboard instructing team.
FISS are affiliated as an official ski school with the Professional Ski Instructors Association of Japan(SIA). This organisation trains and certifies ski and snowboard instructors within Japan. Safety is of paramount importance and they have strict safety requirements for member schools.
FISS instructors are passionate about skiing and snowboarding. For the majority of our instructors, teaching skiing and snowboarding is an all year round professional career choice seeing them follow winter between Northern and Southern Hemispheres.
